About the Author
Christopher Thomas holds a doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) from Tufts University and is Professor of Math at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. His research centered on Geometric Group Theory, exploring places where algebra and geometry meet. He is the author of Calculus Success in 20 minutes a Day (2006) and Trigonometry Success in 20 Minutes a Day (2007).
Barnett Rich (deceased) held a doctor of philosophy degree (Ph.D.) from Columbia University and a doctor of jurisprudence (J.D.) from New York University. He began his professional career at Townsend Harris Hall High School of New York City and was one of the prominent organizers of the High School of Music and Art where he served as the Administrative Assistant. Later he taught at CUNY and Columbia University and held the post of Chairman of Mathematics at Brooklyn Technical High School for 14 years. Among his many achievements are the six degrees he earned and the 23 books that he wrote, among them Schaum's Outlines of Elementary Algebra, Modern Algebra, and Review of Elementary Algebra.

Great refresher

It's been 16 years since I studied geometry in school and I wanted to brush up a little bit. In typical Schaum's fashion, the material is presented without any needless commentary, or jokes, etc. There are tons of problems. I found the book to be up to the standards of Schaum's. I would definitely recommend it to people that want to learn geometry, or get a refresher. I'm not sure teens would like the book. It's not designed to coddle the reader by entertaining them with stories and anecdotes; although, there is a little bit of history in there.
I give it four stars two main reasons:
1) I reserve 5 for exceptional quality. I'm a tough grader.
2) There is no online errata that I'm aware of.

Schaum's Outline of Geometry

I got this book to help my granddaughter who is studying geometry in eighth grade. She has been using it a lot before the school year started. She says it has given her a big jump on the other students. I heartily recommend the whole Schaum's outline series. I used them through undergraduate and graduate school. They are definitely the best bang for the buck.

A great book to keep for reference or self-teaching

I had the second edition of this book for several years. This edition is even better. I have been using it to aid some of my students who need additional practice outside their textbooks.
