i grew up with these views before i re-read this when i re-read this sfter so many years, i was opened up and my insight got better to what i really am. this book explains why black people atre the way they are now, the slave days how whites raped our women, why black men are castrated, and still getting (ripped off) out of their manhood, we should stop protesting, and figure out our own solutions, to our problems someone should update this novel, for this explains our plight, and future- all you have to do is open our eyes, and really see things in life from all sides of the table. we built this earth, and society, we are the creators of music, art, comedy, matematics, and everything known to mankind. yes white folks are taking our styles yes we are doomed, integration is killing us, how many real black people are left, check your tv blacks are making fools of themselves on talk showsevery day, we are taking up their ways too much more niggers are going around saying the best man for their daughters is a white man, and vice versa, we have aids here and africa, how come more blacks got aids adn only 3% whites have it make you think don't it. then there is a rising disease coming hpv which will pick up where aids left off, black people we should wake up and solve our own issues.

David Zientara

David Zientara is a software engineer and IT professional living in northern New Jersey. He has 20 years of experience in IT and has been an enthusiastic supporter of the free and open source software (FOSS) community throughout his career, beginning with his first foray into the open source world with Slackware Linux in 1995. In the mid-1990s, David became lead software engineer for Oxberry LLC, a digital imaging company headquartered in New Jersey. In this capacity, he played a major role in developing a new software package for the company's film scanners for Windows while also helping maintain Oxberry's legacy software, which had been developed for the SGI IRIX platform. He continued in this role for many years and continues to play a part in software development for Oxberry's corporate successor. In the mid-2000s, David took an interest in computer networking, an interest that led him to learn about m0n0wall and, eventually, pfSense, a fork of the m0n0wall project. This is the overview book you need.

This book is a rare find. It gives a comprehensive--but not sketchy--history of the Baltic States from their inception as territories of other powers through to their independence. I was impressed by how quickly I read through it without having to continuously look back to see what I'd forgotten. Each chapter leads logically from the previous. NO CONFUSION!! How's that for a find?
Anyone who wants to add the Baltic Region to their knowledge of history (medieval through modern) needs this book.

This was the best history of the Baltic States I have ever read. The author does an amazing job of covering the history of the Baltics in detail while still making it interesting. If you are looking for a great history of the Baltic States then this is the book for you.

A great book to begin a Baltic journey

Despite being under-200-pages, this is a rather thorough book to read before embarking on a larger journey either through a history of one of the Baltic states or any given historical era of the Baltic region. The author doesn't linger too long over the Iron Age and prehistoric societies, but goes almost straight to illustrate the Northern Crusades. Every chapter begins with a short summary. Thus, the book is easily navigable if, for example, you wish to focus more on the history of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, rather than the time of the three Baltic states under Soviet rule. By the middle of the book you will have reached the wars of Baltic independence fought at the beginning of the 20th century. Hence, one could say that modern history of the Baltic region here is covered more extensively, than other historical time periods.

If one day travelling through the Baltic states you cross Latvian-Lithuanian border, then take a note that you cross the line, which in 1290 roughly corresponded a military frontline between pagans and Christians. The author has made a good effort to show that the Baltic region has never been quite homogenious and divergences in historical perspective of all three countries are obvious. The list of the sources for further reading at the end of the book is extensive, whichever of the countries and events you would prefer to explore any deeper.
